AFI - Very Proud of Ya LP 1996
A damn fine album that I used to listen to again and again as a youngster. AFI the band has certainly progressed as a unit, unbound to whatever “punk scene” they were attached to in their past. Sometimes it’s hard to believe today that this is the same band I normally chatted with at The Glass House nine years ago.
Much like their heroes and friends Rancid and The Offspring, AFI worked their asses off constantly touring and not being afraid to change their musical style, and I think it seemed to have paid off.
